My approach to tutoring is: The tutee and I will discuss what goals the tutee wishes to achieve and together we will work to achieve those goals (e.g. coursework, poetry). The tutee may bring before me any aspect of English literature or language that he/she wants to improve and we will work on it. For example, the tutee could show me some coursework he/she is doing and we could go through it and see where there could be improvement. One useful strategy is to look at texts and practise analysing them. The lessons are very flexible and I will work around the tutee's needs.

I am French, perfectly bilingual and I have experience teaching French in schools and companies, and also giving language tuition. I am patient and make sure to create a relaxed atmosphere. I graduated from The University of Leicester in Medical Biochemistry in 2008 and am entering the University of Warwick postgraduate medical school programme. I have taught biology in the independent sector to A level and university entrance since leaving Leicester and have also taught GCSE chemistry for the past two years. I have been an A level examiner in biology, most recently this year (2008) for Edexcel, but I have also taught the AQA biology syllabus for 2 years. I am also happy to tutor for Baccalaureate type qualifications. I enjoy giving tutorial classes and have done so on and off for the past ten years. I usually travel to a student's home, usually within about 15 miles of Leicester. I prefer to give 1.5 hour lessons and can help with coursework as well as the written papers.
